aboutUsAlthough it’s in the name, it’s not just about “letting” at RentSure. We firmly believe that the experience our customers receive after a property is let is just as important as the initial letting. And that is why our staff are dedicated to making sure this experience is as good as possible – for Landlords and Tenants.

The company was founded in early 2007 and re-branded as RentSure Letting in 2009. Founder John Wilson has worked in the Scottish property industry for nearly 10 years – both in lettings and as a keen investor. As an investor, he has experienced the pain of properties lying empty and of bad tenants. This is exactly why he has made it his mission to remove these factors as far as possible for other owners.

RentSure Letting was born of a passion to provide good customer service and communication to both landlords and tenants in an industry where, sadly, this is rare.

The RentSure Letting staff all share this passion and work together to give customers the best experience possible.

We are members of Scottish Association of Landlords and are an Accredited Agent under the new Landlord Accreditation Scotland scheme, which gives landlords and tenants the confidence that our management practices are well above the minimum legal requirements.

At RentSure Letting we have a set of company values and we’d like to share them with you now, so that you can get a feel for what we’re about:

We try to let properties really fast:
this is top of the list because getting flats let is the absolute core of our business; in order to give our landlords the best service possible, this must be done as quickly as possible. We don’t just put properties on the Web and hope for the best, we are very proactive about the whole process.

We find quality tenants: we have a very thorough tenant vetting process and carry out affordability checks, credit searches, previous landlord and employment references so that we are as confident as we can be that the person moving into your property will both pay the rent and treat your property with respect.

We respect tenants: to many agencies, tenants are a necessary inconvenience. To us, they are customers, and must be given great service too. If we give them great service, they tell their friends and we let flats even faster.

We are as green as we can be: we recycle wherever possible, we don’t print things out unnecessarily and we conserve energy whenever possible.

We communicate well: we try to reply to all landlord and tenant communications within 24 hours, sooner if possible.

We always try to make things better: we implement and document systems that help the business run more smoothly and efficiently. This helps us give better service and makes our jobs easier.

We stay on the right side of the law: we keep abreast with legislation by taking regular industry training.
